Cool Up Country Meeting in Jordan

A National Workshop was held on 21st, March, 2023, where the project team and Jordanian stakeholders from governmental institutions, industrial sector, banking sector and vocational training participated and discussed the pilot project, the work plan for 2023 and the importance of issuing and accrediting professional certificates for workers in the cooling sector, including the use of natural refrigerants.
Participants stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination between all relevant stakeholders in the field of refrigeration and sustainable air conditioning to develop a National Cooling Action Plan aimed at using energy efficient equipment utilizing environmentally friendly refrigerants, which reflects positively on achieving sustainable development in Jordan.COOL UP team received the feedback from stakeholders regarding project accomplished activities such as the published prospect study. This feedback will be taken into consideration for the future plans of project activities.
Cool Up is part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI). The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUV) supports this initiative on the basis of a decision adopted by the German Bundestag.
