The first mechanical multi-blades wind pumping system was designed in 1982 and was manufactured in the workshops of the Royal Scientific Society. It was installed on Al-Modawara well on the Jordanian Saudi Arabia border which belongs to the Water Authority of Jordan. The center has designed and manufactured a new mechanical wind pumping system which meets the local needs and works under local conditions with three different rotor diameters (4m, 6m, 7.5m), The design was transferred to a local manufacturer for commercialization and mass production.
The mechanical pumping system was accredited and certified by Germanischer Lloyd.
