SEACAP 4 SDG Steering Committee Meeting and Public Event: Green and Efficient Cities for a Sustainable Mediterranean in Tunisia

The SEACAP 4 SDG partners, in collaboration with Tunisian municipalities, institutional entities and selected local experts, organized the Green and Efficient Cities for a Sustainable Mediterranean on Wednesday 8th March 2023 at Hotel Campanile El Mechtel, in Tunis (Tunisia), in hybrid format, and the interventions were in English and in French.

This event gathered all project partners to discuss about the project progress and outcomes, where RSS/ NERC presented the upcoming tasks and activities as a work-package leader.
During the event, project partners introduced the Energy efficiency plans for cost-effective energy rehabilitations of local public buildings in the Tunisian cities such as of Municipality of Bizerte, Municipality of Tunis, Municipality of Nabeul, Municipality of Sousse. The gathering provides also an opportunity to offer information about the SEACAP4SDG initiative's outcomes and to discuss about new models of sustainable energy development actions to implement within the Mediterranean territories during the round table “Towards green and sustainable Tunisian cities”.

The SEACAP 4 SDG project, funded by the European Union under the ENI CBC Med Programme, aims to find innovative solutions and tools to reduce energy consumption in public buildings through cost-effective approaches to energy refurbishment, integrating Sustainable Energy Access and Climate Action Plans and Innovative Support Mechanisms for Cities.
